Nathan Holmberg's
In this assignment, we were asked to take a picture from around the school and photoshop it to make it a whole different theme. In this assignment I used what I learned in the program from previous assignments and incorporated it into this assignment. I also learned new skills like adding shadows, clouds, and different images into my photo. I enjoyed the assignment and the freeness that went along with it. BeforeAfter

In this photo assignment, I took pictures of a football outside. I worked on zooming in on the football and capturing the up close details of the football. I took multiples photos of the football with different angles and backgrounds. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/800 Aperture: f/4.0 ISO: 200 For this assignment I didn't do any editing, its just the natural photo from the camera. In this assignment I learned how to continue my knowledge with the camera and also how to capture a photo up close and zoomed in.
In this assignment, we were asked to retouch a car using photoshop. The point of this assignment was to learn some basic and somewhat advanced photo techniques. We retouched a car by clearing up the glare, making the the background black, and tinting the windshield. Hopefully, I can use these skills later in class. OriginalFinal ProductFor my second shooting assignment I have decided to focus on the subject of MACRO. I want to continue on working on taking quality photos and getting used to the camera. For this assignment I want to take an up close shot of a football and have the background be grass and fitting the photo. These are some photographs that I am inspired by online: I think these examples are good examples of photos that I want to recreate. These images are quality photos and are close ups of the football with backgrounds that fit the image. I feel confident that I can take good pictures of a up close football this week.
In my photo assignment, I took a picture of my two dogs. I worked on first taking pictures of each individual dog and then tried to get both of them in the frame. Some of the challenges I faced was trying to get them to stay still. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/8 Aperture: f/5.0 ISO: 800 Some of the things that I did for editing was crop the image a little to cut off some of the space on the right side of the photo. Other than that I really didn't do that much. I learned in this assignment how to get to know the camera and work on taking quality pictures.
In this assignment, I was asked to take a picture and make it into 4 different photos. First, I took a picture in photo booth then put it in photoshop. Second, once the photo was in photoshop I changed it to black and white then made it into 4 different photos and 4 different colors. I learned how to get to know how to work the basics of photoshop. Also, how to space photos and changed their hue and saturation. Plus, I learned that using photoshop is a big factor if you want a better photo then you had before.
For my first shooting assignment I have decided to focus on the subject of ANIMALS. I want to work on taking quality pictures and fully grasping the mood of the animal. I also want to work on getting more comfortable with the camera in this assignment as well. These are some of the photographs that I am inspired by that I found online: I think that these are great of examples of animals because they are quality pictures and show the moods of the subjects and they have good backgrounds that don't take away from the picture. I have two dogs myself so hopefully I'll capture good pictures of them.
In this assignment, I learned about composition and the different aspects. I learned about Texture, Depth of Field, Framing, and etc. We went around the school taking pictures about the different aspects we learned in class. Rule of ThirdsPatternSymmetryTextureDepth of FieldLinesFramingPerspectiveSpaceBalanceColorWhat I learned during this composition assignment is that there are more factors in just taking a simple photo. I learned the aspects of composition and applied them by going around the school taking pictures. I enjoyed this assignment because of the freedom we had. Something I could improve on is my eye for a good photo and better editing.
My name is Nathan Holmberg. This is my Digital Photography Photo Blog. I am a 9th grader at Saline High School. I play football, basketball, and baseball. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family. I also enjoy playing with my dogs. In my free time I usually sleep. The reason I took this class is because I needed a credit. I really have no experience in photography other than taking pictures on my phone. I look forward to learning more in the class.
