In this class, I learned lots of information of the art of digital photography. I learned the settings and functions of the camera. I also learned about photoshop and the tools and functions within the program. I also learned about the topic of compositions and its examples. I learned how to take pictures with an actual digital camera instead of my phone. I learned the settings of the camera like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO and how all these connect to the photo to make the picture the best it can be. Also, I learned composition which taught me how to best take pictures and capture the full details of the photo. I learned lots about photoshop in this trimester. I learned about how to improve the photos you take by using the program. I learned many tools and features within photoshop. I learned how to stack and mask layers, use the stamp tool, and use the lasso tool and much more. My favorite part of the class was taking panos because I liked seeing all the photos come together. In this photo assignment, I focused on the subject of STILL LIFE. I worked on taking quality photos and capturing the full details of the baseball that was still. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/200 Aperture: f/4.3 ISO: 80 I didn't edit this photo...This is the same picture that came off the camera. I enjoyed doing photo assignments and felt like I developed good cameras skills.
For this assignment, I was asked to make 3 puns and 2 dictionary posts using my skills in photoshop. We were asked to be creative and show off what we know. PunsDictionary In this assignment, I used what I learned in photoshop and showcased it in this assignment.
For this assignment, I decided to choose the topic SHADOW/LIGHT. I took pictures of trees around my house that had reflecting shadows from the sun and pictures of the a plant that had sunlight coming in from the window forming a shadow. I worked on capturing the shadow/light on the camera. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/800 Aperture: f/3.2 ISO: 80 For this image I didn't do any editing. ' Here are my other 5 photos.... I learned how to capture objects with shadows and light in this assignment. I worked on getting the object also in the photo.
In this assignment were asked to take portraits. We took a studio shot and then a non studio shot with the camera. We had to adjust the camera settings according to the light and environment. For this photo assignment, I chose the topic of BLACK and WHITE. I took pictures of flowers around my house for this assignment. To turn the image to black and white I used photoshop. I learned how to take a picture and turn it to black and white in photoshop. I also felt like I kept developing my camera skills in this assignment
In this assignment we took multiple pictures of the same area with us in different spots within the area the picture was taken. After we got the pictures we used photoshop, using the lasso tool and add layer tools to the images to get one image with all the photos taken. I enjoyed this assignment because I thought it was cool to see me in multiple ways. I also learned tools in photoshop that will hopefully help me later in this class.
In this photo assignment, I decided to chose the topic of NATURE. I took pictures of flowers, plants, and trees around my backyard. I worked on capturing the full details of the plants. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/125 Aperture: f/3.5 ISO: 160 In this picture I didn't use any photoshop. The image you see the picture is what it was off the camera. I enjoyed this project because I felt like I took a lot of quality photos. I feel that I have the ability to take good pictures I just want to work on enhancing them using photoshop in future photo assignments.
In this assignment, we were asked to take 5 panoramic photos. For this assignment we set the camera in manual and used a tripod to get multiple pictures across a wide space. After we got our 5-7 photos we put the panoramic together using photomerge in photoshop. I took pictures of my backyard, the cafeteria, trees in my backyard, the gym, and the pool. I liked this assignment because I liked seeing the pictures I took coming together as one. I learned how to use photomerge, using a tripod, and how to adjust the manual settings on the camera.
In this assignment, I took a picture of brownies as my topic for food. I worked on taking different shots of the brownies from all types of perspectives and angles. I continued to work on my skills with the camera and my advancement in taking quality pictures. Exposure Triangle Shutter Speed: 1/15 Aperture: f/3.5 ISO: 800 For this assignment I didn't do any editing. I enjoyed taking pictures of the food and also advancing my camera skills and eating the brownies after was the best part.
